The number of women attacked by men in the state of Rio de Janeiro has grown significantly. An initiative has become the hope of life for those in need of protection. Public servants who are victims of domestic and family violence and have an urgent protective measure granted will be guaranteed transfer to another public service unit. The determination is from Bill 1,769/19, by Congresswoman Zeidan (PT), which the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj) approved, in the first discussion. The transfer will take place at the request of the server and to a location that serves the best interest, being justified with the urgent protective measure. The request will be made through an official letter from a higher hierarchical authority after the respective confidential administrative process and there will be no publicity.

Marina Silva in Petrópolis
