With the participation of thousands of young people, teachers and university workers from the most important study houses in the country, and in view of the presidential elections on June 2this Tuesday a University Electoral Drill in the 32 federal entities.
According to the students who organized for this drill, the call broke all their expectations, since it is estimated that More than 300 thousand university students participatedmainly young people, from institutions such as the UNAM, the IPN, UAM, the UPN, the UdG, the BUAP, the UANL, the UAEMEX, the Autonomous University of Guerrero, Technological Institutes, the Autonomous University of Morelos, the Veracruzana Universityamong another hundred secondary and higher education institutions throughout the Mexican Republic.
According to the results recorded by the University Electoral Councila student initiative that organized the efforts for this drill, The candidate of the “Let’s Keep Making History” alliance, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, obtained 65% of the voteswhile the candidate Jorge Álvarez Máynez from Movimiento Ciudadano 22.2% and the candidate Xóchilt Gálvez Ruíz from the “Fuerza y Corazón por México” alliance only obtained 7.7%. between the different university communities of the country; 5.2% of null votes were recorded.
The drill reflects what the polls have consistently indicated throughout this electoral process: andthe candidate’s triumph Claudia Sheinbauma growth of Alvarez Maynez and the collapse of Xochitl Galvez. The most of 400 higher education and upper secondary schools that participated in this drill opened polls at 9:00 am and closed at 6:00 pm. Some of the organizers who were present at their institutions and universities declared that the call for this simulation was made through social networks, from there, the university students expressed their support for carrying out a dissemination and electoral participation exercise.
In this way, the University Electoral Council (CEU) was born: “As the University Electoral Council, we have met many young people with two concerns: one, the desire to express their electoral preferences actively, to take the campaigns to their universities. ; and, two, to participate and learn, first-hand, what the carrying out of a democratic exercise of this nature consists of: from the placement of the ballot boxes, to the composition of the ballot, the call to participate, the care of the ballot boxes and the final count.

They include the candidacies of Claudia Sheinbaum, Xóchitl Gálvez and Jorge Álvarez Máynez, with the seven parties participating and with the box assigned for unregistered candidacies.
