Juan Carlos Reyes Félix, 55 years old, ejidatario, singer and music entrepreneur was executed this April 22, when he was traveling on the Xpujil-Chetumal section of the federal highway in the vicinity of the intersection with the 20 de Noviembre ejido.
The musician and ejidatario He was heading to the city of Chetumal, Quintana Roo; aboard a red pick-up truck, when it was apparently intercepted by subjects unknown men, who shot him at point-blank range through the passenger side window, depriving him of his life.
According to data from the media outlet Ecos Calakmul, The singer was accompanied by his wife, who was seriously injured and was transferred to the IMSS-Bienestar hospital in Xpujil.
Xpujil is the municipal seat of Calakmul and is located a little less than five hours from the capital of the state of Campeche and borders Quintana Roo.
When the news of the execution of the singer and musical entrepreneur spread, elements of the Mexican Army, police from the municipality of Calakmul and the State Attorney General’s Office arrived at the site to begin investigations.
So far there are no arrests and it is unknown who the perpetrators are and the reasons for this homicide, since this businessman and ejidatario was heading to the state of Chetumal, Quintana Roo.
