The theme of this year’s congress is ‘Teacher-Researcher Training’ and the opening lecture was about the dedicated schools in Barra Mansa. It is being held online between April 25th and 27th. The four schools in the municipality that are participating have developed five projects to present, namely: ‘Discoveries and Experiences at the Studio: Seeking reconnection with nature’, from Escola Municipal Vila Elmira; ‘For a decolonial literacy: A reading of the world beyond globalization’ and ‘Alphabet of indigenous wisdom: The importance of increasing the cultural repertoire in literacy’, both from Escola Municipal Gelson Silvino; ‘Writing the future: Children protagonists to postpone the end of the world’, from Ciep 483 – Ada Bogato and ‘Pedagogical Expedition: Valuing heritage and local identity in elementary education’ from the Municipalized School of Rialto.
The pedagogical advisor of the Department of Education, Lucas Peres Guimarães, spoke more about the dedicated schools and the importance of their participation in this congress. “The dedicated schools have a well-established and high-quality teaching and learning process. Speaking at a national congress highlights how much the Barra Mansa Network is an example of educational innovation in this scenario,” he said.
