Slot machines are seized in yet another action of ‘Operation Sossega Leão’Disclosure / Hotline

Rio – In yet another phase of “Operation Sossega Leão”, military police officers from various battalions banned, between last Friday (12) and Saturday (20), six clandestine bingos and seized 21 slot machines in different locations across the state From Rio.
According to information from Hotline, bingos operated inside commercial establishments. Those responsible for the locations were taken to the police stations in each region and charged under article 50 of the Criminal Offenses Law, which provides for a sentence of three months to one year in prison, in addition to payment of a fine of R$2,000 to R$200,000, for whoever establishes or operates gambling in a public place or accessible to people. They were interviewed by police officers and later released.

Guaratiba – Six slot machines were seized by police officers from the 27th BPM (Santa Cruz) at a clandestine bingo in Praça Antônio Goulart.
Pottery – Agents from the 16th BPM (Olaria) seized three slot machines in an establishment on Rua Doutor Alfredo Barcelos.
Seropedic – In total, four slot machines were seized by police officers from the 24th BPM (Queimados) on Rua Niterói, in Campo Lindo.
Valença – Police officers from the 10th BPM (Barra do Piraí) seized four slot machines in an establishment on Rua Doutor Souza Nunes.
St. Johns Wood – Two slot machines were seized by agents from the 21st BPM (São João de Meriti) at a bingo hall on Rua Angélica 12, Fonte Carioca.
Magé – Police officers from the 34th BPM (Magé) seized two slot machines in an establishment in Vila Carvalho, on Rua Fortaleza, lot 20, block 22.
