Suspects arrested in connection to attempted murder in Grove Pine and Crouch House Road area of Edenbridge

A stab victim remains in hospital in serious condition as two men have been arrested in connection to an attempted murder.

The attack took place in the Pine Grove and Crouch House Road area near Edenbridge just after midnight on Thursday.

Police were called to the disturbance where it was reported three men had got out of a black BMW and assaulted two men who appeared to be known to them.

The three attackers then left in the same vehicle which has since been seized by officers.

A man in his 20s suffered stab wounds and was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The second man also in his 20s was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

On Friday, officers arrested two men in connection to the incident.

Muhamet Mahmutaj, 24, from Giraud Street, London has since been charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to cause fear of violence.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on Monday.

A 27-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and he remains in custody.

Officers are continuing to carry out inquiries and residents will see an increased police presence in the area.

People with information, private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage, who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, are being asked to call 999, quoting reference 46/70894/24.
