Rio – The Federal Audit Court (TCU) decided, on Wednesday (17), to archive the request to suspend the salary of federal deputy Chiquinho Brazão (No party) made by the deputy attorney general of the Public Ministry at the court (MPTCU ), Lucas Rocha Furtado. According to the ministers’ decision, the representation did not meet the applicable admissibility requirements.
In testimony, Lessa would have informed that Marielle became a target after defending the occupation of land by low-income people and that the process was monitored by bodies such as the Institute of Land and Cartography of the State of Rio and the Land and Housing Center, of the Public Defender’s Office of Rio. The principals sought the regularization of a condominium in Jacarepaguá without considering the social interest criterion.
In addition to them, the Federal Police also arrested the former head of the Civil Police Rivaldo Barbosa, suspected of receiving bribes to try to obstruct the crime investigations. He assumed the leadership role of the corporation on the eve of the murders.
In addition to the brothers and the police chief, four others involved had already been arrested in connection with the case. They are: Ronnie Lessa and Élcio Queiroz, responsible for execution; former firefighter Maxwell Simões, known as Suel, who participated in planning the murder, and junkyard owner Edilson Barbosa dos Santos, known as Orelha, accused of dismantling the car used in the crime.
