A teacher from the Nova Friburgo municipal education network was dismissed this Thursday (18), on suspicion of having stapled a note to the uniform of a 5-year-old child.
The case happened this Wednesday morning (17) at the Santa Paula Frassinetti Municipal School, in the center of the municipality. According to the child’s mother, her son had the paper stapled to his shirt the entire time the boy was at school. The clamp would have even hurt the child.
The mother found out about the note through a friend, who picked up the boy from school. The paper said “Mommy, please send another notebook. Thank you!”
The fact came to the attention of Nova Friburgo City Hall this Thursday (18). In a post on social media, Mayor Johnny Maycon revealed that the teacher was placed on leave while the case is investigated. Other measures will be discussed according to the investigationās developments.
“It is important to emphasize that we will never condone such an attitude or any act that disrespects and/or violates the rights and exposes our children in a vexatious manner. Therefore, as soon as we became aware of the fact, we immediately started all internal processes and decided to removal of the professional so that the necessary investigation can take place and the appropriate measures regarding the case can be taken according to the developments”, he wrote.
