Itaperuna- The celebrations of the traditional May Festival officially began this Friday (10th), when the municipality celebrates 135 years of political-administrative emancipation in relation to Campos dos Goytacazes.
During the morning, at 8 o’clock, the flags of Itaperuna, Rio de Janeiro and Brazil were raised, in Praça Nilo Peçanha, in front of the Matriz São José, with mayor Alfredão, (União), the person responsible for the ceremony, secretary of Education Olliver Barros, federal deputy Murillo Gouveia (Union), councilors and other municipal secretaries.
At 9 am, it is time for the ceremony to hand over citizenship titles and commendations from the City Council, in the Unig Campus V auditorium.
And at 4 pm, a parade of students from the entire municipal education network, as well as civil and military entities.
