They locate pets by their snout – El Financiero

Ingressio México and Unioncommunity sealed a commercial agreement to introduce a biometric pet recognition technology called ‘UBioPetID’ to the Latin American market, which uses an application that scans the unique snouts of each animal, eliminating the need to insert microchips into the animals.

With the recent legislation in Mexico City, which seeks to establish a single registry for pets, Ingressio considers this initiative to be especially valuable and will contribute to building an ecosystem of value for those involved.

The objective of this collaboration between Unioncommunity and Ingressio is to implement UBio PetID in hospitals, veterinary clinics, pet insurance companies and retailers in Mexico.

Humberto Lopez GallegosCEO of Ingressio, emphasized that UBio PetID seeks to meet the growing market demand and strengthen the company’s position in the sector, while Yoshik Shin, CEO of Unioncommunity, highlighted the importance of this collaboration to expand the global recognition market and pet registration.

According to Unioncommunity, approximately 70 percent of households in major Latin American countries have pets and this segment has experienced an annual growth of 10 percent, so it is estimated that the market value of this industry will reach non-negligible figure of 20 billion dollars by 2024.

Salinas Group launches MEXA Creativa

Grupo Salinas, which has more than 110 thousand employees in different industries, advanced its most recent commitment with Grupo UPAX, led by Cecilia Fallabrino, which is dedicated to working for brands and businesses through market research, brand experiences, communication, innovation and technological development.

Now, they tell us that UPAX will launch MEXA Creativa, directed by Jorge Ibarraa new company derived from the transformation of Agencia i with 18 years in the sector, whose main objective is to serve as the communication center for brands and businesses that seek specialization in the segment of the base of the Mexican pyramid, made up of approximately 60 million people.

MEXA Creativa, we are told, was born with a clear vision and understanding of the Mexican advertising market. With a growth of 18.9 percent in the last five years and an investment that exceeds 123,705 million pesos, with 60 percent of this investment destined for digital platforms, Mexico is positioned as one of the main players worldwide in television advertising. The strength of MEXA Creativa, they say, lies in its understanding of the needs, tastes and barriers of the ‘ordinary Mexican’.

Private security industry cries out for legal modernization

The private security industry in Mexico, which represents 1.5 percent of the national GDP, faces challenges due to excessive and outdated regulation, according to Gabriel Bernal Gomezpresident of the Mexican Association of Private Security Companies (AMESP), who denounced that the current law forces companies in the sector to comply with 50 permits and 32 laws, which makes it difficult to create synergies with public security corporations to combat the growing crime in the country.

For this reason, during the last three years, the more than 250 companies affiliated with the AMESP have presented initiatives to modernize the law before the Chamber of Deputies to establish a legal framework that allows the industry to operate at the national level with hybrid models based on human personnel and cutting-edge technology, such as data analysis, artificial intelligence and drones.

They tell us that, despite the efforts of the AMESP, legislators have not shown political will to advance the modernization of the sectoral law, which has exacerbated the urgency of reforms. As a result, the AMESP has managed to organize the 17th Pan American Private Security Congress in CDMX, which will take place in CDMX from May 15 to 18, where industry leaders, legislators and regional authorities will discuss trends and exchange ideas to create a modern and innovative front that collaborates with federal authorities to combat crime effectively.
