They set fire to electoral propaganda of Roberto Cabrera, candidate from San Juan del Río, Querétaro – El Financiero

Early Wednesday morning, the campaign Roberto Cabrera Valencia, PAN candidate for the municipal presidency of San Juan del Río, Queretarowas subjected to an act of violence, when two public address vehicles were set on fire in the Salvador Gómez Centeno neighborhood, in the Carrizo neighborhood.

According to three videos, two individuals arrived at the location walking around 12:41 a.m. and set the units parked at the home on fire.

Fortunately, the incident caused no human loss, only material damage. The corresponding complaint is being prepared before the relevant authorities to clarify and prosecute this act of violence.

The arrest of the alleged perpetrators or people involved in the fire has not been reported. Firefighters arrived at the scene to put out the fire.

Later, at a press conferencethe PAN candidate said that this attack was directly to disturb the peace and tranquility of the town.

What those who do not know San Juan do not fully understand is that when they carry out their acts of vandalism, they do not attack a campaign, they attack San Juan and the tranquility that we so long for,” he said.


Meanwhile, Antonio Zapata, spokesperson for the National Action Party (PAN)said that no candidate is going to ask for protection, despite the acts of vandalism.

Who is Roberto Cabrera Valencia?

He was born in San Juan del Río, on August 31, 1975. He joined the PAN in 1999. According to the website of the Legislative Branch of Querétaro, Roberto Cabrera Valencia has a degree in law, por the Faculty of Law, of the Autonomous University of the entity.

He was a councilor in the city council of San Juan del Río, Querétaro, from 2000 to 2003. In addition, he is a professor at the Faculty of Accounting and Administration, at the University where he studied. He has taught the subject Sociopolitical Trends.

He adds to his political career, experience as a local deputy in the LV and LVIII legislature of Querétaro and local deputy for district 9.

On June 6, 2021, he was elected as municipal president of his entity of origin, with 44,651 votes.
