‘This decision is a turning point’ – El Financiero

The announcement by the Chief Executive this Monday comes five days after he communicated through a letter on the internet a period of reflection to decide on his continuity at the head of the Government. Sánchez, who had denounced a harassment campaign against him and his wife, pointed out that “confusing freedom of expression with defamation is a democratic perversion with disastrous consequences.”

“I have decided to continue, to continue with even more strength if possible.” at the head of the Presidency. Sánchez thanked the expressions of affection received in recent days since he announced that he was canceling his public agenda, especially that of the PSOE, which “has decisively influenced” his decision, as he stated.

He also considers that there is only one way to reverse this situation, that “the social majority mobilizes in a determined commitment to dignity and common sense, putting a stop to the politics of shame that we have been suffering for too long.”
