Traffic is halted in both directions on a busy motorway because of a vehicle on fire.
There is a lorry ablaze on the London bound carriageway of the M20 between J3 (the Wrotham Interchange) and J1 (the Swanley Interchange).
Smoke blowing across the carriageway has led police to also close the coast-bound carriageway for safety reasons.
The London bound traffic has been at a standstill since 12.50pm, and the coastbound has been held up since 1.20pm.
Emergency services are at the scene.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Road users are advised to follow the below diversion route:
Exit the M20 at J3 onto the M26.
Follow the M26 to J2A.
Exit the M26 at J2A onto the roundabout and take the 3rd exit onto the A20 heading towards London.
Continue on the A20 to re-join the M20 at J1/ M25 J3.
