In this struggle, the movement against tolls at Rio-Santos states that it will continue to mobilize so that changes are made to the new toll system at Rio-Santos, including the cancellation of fines and a review of the entire system. There is still a possibility that the TRF group will judge the injunction that suspends the collection of fines from drivers.

Injunction

The fines charged in a manner considered abusive for toll evasion in the concessionaire’s free flow system, CCR RioSP, were suspended on April 18, by decision of the Federal Court in favor of a public civil action filed by the Public Defender’s Office of Rio (DPRJ) , by the Federal Public Defender’s Office (DPU) and the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), based on several complaints filed in court by drivers and the movement against tolls, showing flaws in the charging system and alleging losses due to undue fines, since the The system was in the experimental phase for three months, starting in January of this year. The decision also annulled all infraction notices drawn up by ANTT based on article 209-A and a period of five years for payment of tariffs.

CCR guides drivers

With the new determination of the TRF, the charge will once again be made by ANTT, responsible for authorizing the implementation of the free flow system. CCR RioSP, the concessionaire that manages the highway, guides drivers on payment methods and channels so that doubts can be resolved.
