The State Attorney General’s Office managed to identify 5 of the eight bodies left on the side of the Pan-American Highway from Chihuahua to Ciudad Juárez.
The area in which they were stacked naked and with various signs of torture, according to reports from the state authority, is controlled by the Juárez Cartel.

The first body is Edgar Gerardo SV, 29 years old, originally from Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua. The cause of his death was acute hemorrhage secondary to hemothorax, due to a stab wound.
The second victim is Marcos CS, 35originally from San Pedro Tapanatepec Oaxaca, died from craniocerebral trauma.
The third body identified is Brian L., 35 years oldoriginally from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, being the cause of death craniocerebral trauma.
The fourth victim is Óscar Raúl GL, 35 years old, originally from Minatitlán, Veracruz, the cause of death being known as: Acute anemia due to stab wounds.
The fifth body belongs to José Luis AB, 35 years oldoriginally from San Pedro Tapanatepec, Oaxaca, and the cause of Death is due to asphyxiation.
The identity of the remaining 3 bodies that were found dead last Sunday, April 21 at kilometer 38 of the Chihuahua-Juárez highway, in the municipality of Chihuahua, still needs to be clarified.
The authority reported that the deceased were identified through investigative work and recognition by family members.
The identification protocols before the Public Ministry of the Crimes against Life Investigation Unit allowed this progress to be made in 5 of the eight bodies.
