When contacted, SuperVia reported that the concessionaire’s security team registered the case and, if any type of criminal activity is found, it will collaborate with security agencies.

In a statement, the company said that “it does not authorize the irregular sale of products on trains, which is even stated on passenger guidance signs installed at stations.”

According to the Railway Transport Regulations, the negotiation or sale of products and services inside trains, stations and facilities is prohibited, except those duly authorized by the Railway Administration.

SuperVia also added that “It is up to the Public Authorities, through state public security forces, to combat the sale of illegal or expired products”.

When contacted, the Civil Police did not comment on the case.
