What do you ask to approve the pension reform and give your vote? – The financial

The reform package, which President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will present this February 5, includes his initiative to pension workers 100 percent; However, for this proposal to become a reality, Congress, which is made up of the PAN bench, You must approve it.

When the Executive launched the initiative, Lopez Obrador He explained that the pension reform would be financed by the Government in an attempt to ‘reassure’ businessmen.

However, given the questions that public finances ‘are not enough’ to cover the ‘dignified’ retirement of workers, it has been speculated that the disappearance of the autonomous bodies, reform that AMLO will also present, would help finance this initiative.

What condition did the PAN set for AMLO to approve the pension reform?

Jorge Romero, coordinator of the PAN deputies, revealed a week ago that his party is in favor of the proposal, as long as the money does not come out of the disappearance of autonomous organs.

The leader of the PAN members in San Lázaro explained that they ‘will be delighted’ if the Mexican president argues where he will get the resources from. “The only thing we want to know is the slight detail of where you plan to get that money, where?, because in ordinary normal collection it does not give, because all the trusts have already run out“, said.

Given this, the PAN member warned that if the proposal includes the destruction of autonomous bodies to finance pensionsthe blue and white will vote against: “If what he tells us is: ‘We are going to give the increase in pensions because we are going to disappear the constitutionally autonomous bodies, then the PAN is not going.”

He even clarified that the party will analyze the reform pension of AMLO before deciding his vote, since he is about to present “his latest smoke bomb in a package of initiatives and we, of course, “We’re going to take them for what they are.”

PRI says AMLO is cheating with pension proposal

The leader of the PRI in the Chamber of Deputies, Ruben Moreiracriticized that the proposal to reform the pension system presented by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador only “deceives people” and “generates false expectations.”

He reiterated that his party could vote for it, But he warned that “we must tell people the truth: an expectation is being generated that is false.”

He explained that “very few people are going to have a pension of 16 thousand pesos, because it is not retroactive, because that is what the initiative says; It says, those who are 65 years old and have 750 weeks of contributions will receive a pension. The number is going to be very small.”

Upon learning of the initiative, he specified that “for example, this will not apply to those who receive unemployment or disability pensions. “They are generating information that is not correct.”

He anticipated that “there is no problem voting on this, they are not going to corner anyone, this is going to be voted on, but it is very insufficient and the opportunity to resolve the pensions of municipal workers is also being lost,” he said.

He highlighted that “it really is a benefit that will be for very few people, funded, in quotes, in a way that is not correct.”

“There is no problem voting for him, The PRI is going to vote for him, but don’t fool the people. “This is not what was said,” he noted.

To begin with – he stressed – “it was said that they would retire with 100 percent, false. If someone earned 20 thousand pesos, He is not going to retire with 20 thousand pesos. And those who are going to be raised, it’s good that they are raised, there are very few, but not those who leave due to unemployment, nor those who leave due to disability, that must be said.
