After Urías was arrested in September 2023 and put in bail After paying 50 thousand dollars, the Dodgers decided to separate from their pitcher while the police investigation was carried out and, in addition to that, the league launched an investigation.

In January 2024, the Los Angeles County District Attorney qualified as non-serious crime in the case of Urías and sent it to the City Prosecutor to study whether to initiate a case.

The Orange County Register indicates that, according to a charge evaluation sheet from the District Attorney’s Office, the alleged victim was the couple of uriah:

“They got into an argument in which the accused pushed the victim against a fence and pulled her by the hair or shoulders… Neither the victim’s injuries nor the defendant’s criminal record justify the accusation of a serious crime. Accordingly, the case is referred to the city attorney for consideration of filing as a misdemeanor.”

Now that the prosecutor’s decision has been made, Urías still has a possible pending Major League Baseball disciplinary action.

A few weeks ago, Bill Shaikin, columnist for Los Angeles Times mentioned that once the resolution was given (which already happened), the league will interview Urías and I could decide to suspend it.
