The National Energy Control Center reported that the The National Electric System entered a state of emergency on the afternoon of this Tuesday, May 7this derived from the second heat wave that hits Mexico and that maintains blackouts throughout different states.

Neighbors of Ecatepec told El Financiero that the power went out for almost an hour, and when it came back it was unstable. A similar situation occurs tonight with blackouts in the metropolitan area of Toluca.
Different states of the country are facing high temperatures due to the second heat wave, caused by an anticyclonic system that influences the absence of rain, as well as low gusts of wind that are largely responsible for hot climates and temperatures that exceed the 45 degrees in Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche and Yucatán.

Mexico state
On Tuesday night, in the El Seminario neighborhood and the town of San Mateo Oxtotitlán, people reported massive blackouts that also covered parts of municipalities such as San Mateo Atenco, Lerma and Zinacantepec, in the Toluca Valley.
Even the San Mateo Atenco city council spread on its social networks keep calm among the population and that the corresponding report had already been made before the CFE.
After noon in Toluca, the capital of the State of Mexico, the thermometer reached 28 degrees.

Tabasco
Due to the temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius (with wind chills of up to 47 degrees) that the second heat wave that passes through Tabasco has brought with it, the blackouts have intensified in the last week, especially during the night and early morning, when Entire colonies are left without service for hours.
The entity has 740 thousand domestic users and in the 17 municipalities there are failures in the electrical system, but the situation is more critical in Centro, Nacajuca, Comalcalco, Cárdenas, Jonuta, Jalpa de Méndez and Centla, which has generated the inconvenience of the inhabitants and has caused the loss of devices (such as televisions, computers and refrigerators) to companies and small businesses.
There have even been blockades by citizens who demand that the Federal Electricity Commission replace transformers and change poles in poor condition.
In the private initiative, the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac), Tabasco delegation, announced the delivery of a letter to CFE to take responsibility for the damages caused and establish a “flexibility” program for the payments, because the receipts have tripled in value.
The local Directorate of the National Water Commission warned that the thermometer will reach 45 degrees Celsius this week and there will be no rain until the second half of May.

During the last 24 hours, the state capital and other municipalities in the state of Chiapas suffered blackouts or power outages, causing consumer discomfort in companies, shopping malls and other businesses that stopped their activities for several hours.
Since the morning of this Tuesday, May 7, residents of various urban neighborhoods on the outskirts of Tuxtla Gutiérrez reported suspensions of electricity service.
On social networks, consumers demanded interconnection from the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and stated that they did not know the cause of it, since electrical storms have not yet been recorded in the entity.
Panic and chaos occurred in shopping malls where elevators and escalators were paralyzed. Neighbors were trapped in those elevators. Crowds left movie theaters and employees lowered the curtains of department stores, jewelry stores and others.
On city streets, boulevards were left unlit and traffic lights were turned off for one or more hours, causing some car accidents.
The CFE explained in an image posted on its social networks that this Tuesday, May 7, the power supply would be suspended “temporarily in order to maintain the stability of the national electrical system and avoid major effects on the electrical supply.”
“Personnel from the Federal Electricity Commission continue to work in coordination with CENACE with the purpose of restoring electricity to all users as soon as possible.”
