Rio – Three women were arrested this Wednesday (17), suspected of carrying out payroll loan scams in the center of Rio de Janeiro. After intelligence work, police officers from the 4th DP (Presidente Vargas) located the suspects and carried out the arrest in the act. They will answer for the crime of criminal association.
A company suspected of carrying out the same scams was operating at the location of the arrests. There were three people working in the office, as well as an elderly woman who was about to close a contract.
Several documents with notes on financial transactions, computers, cell phones and other electronic devices were seized. The material will be examined and analyzed.
The three prisoners were taken to the 4th DP and then transferred to a prison, where they await a custody hearing.
