Yom HaShoah Holocaust Memorial public reading of names: 10 a.m. Monday, Dalton Trumbo Fountain Court, outside UMC, Boulder. Join the Program in Jewish Studies along with the Singer Endowed Chair in Jewish History on Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day) for a public reading of the names of European Jews murdered by the Germans and their allies during the Holocaust. “Take A Closer Look” exhibit: 9 a.m. Monday, Museum of Natural History (Henderson), McKenna Gallery, 1035 Broadway, Boulder. “Take A Closer Look” features an intimate and elegant collection of curated items that explores specimens and objects from the CU Museum. Each item is actively and currently used by researchers to learn more about the natural world and the humans who share this planet. “The Arapaho Covered Wagon Redux” documentary screening: 6 p.m. Monday, Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder. “The Arapaho Covered Wagon Redux” is a documentary by Alan O’Hashi that retells “The Covered Wagon,” an epic 1923 silent film. What makes the Redux new is a new soundtrack recorded by the Northern Arapaho Eagle Society led by Michael Ridgebear and the Boulder Symphony & Music Academy led by music director Devin Hughes. The soundtrack was recorded live before an audience during Indigenous People’s Month in October 2023. The will be an intermissions and Q&A with the filmmakers.
