Age progression photo shows what Chicago teen missing since 2002 would look like now

CHICAGO — An age progression photo is offering a new clue in the search for a Chicago teen who disappeared from the city’s South Side over two decades ago.

According to Chicago police, Nicole “Runny” Johnson went missing from the city’s Bronzeville neighborhood on Dec. 09, 2002, when she was just 16 years old.

Johnson would now be between 37 and 38 years of age.

Police say she was last seen by family members on the day of her disappearance and reports indicate that she was spotted two other times, four days later, on Dec. 13, 2002. Once in the 8700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue and again in the 7900 block of South King Drive, in Chatham.

  • Officials from the Cook County Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, created an age progression image of Nicole Johnson, showing what she would look like at age 30.
