Of the 14 councilors in office, 12 are part of the coalition led by Cláudio Ferreti, who, in recent years, held the position of Government Secretary.
“We are proud to defend projects that have improved the lives of the population of our city”, says Ferreti, citing the education card, the municipal maternity hospital (HMAR), Saúde no Olhar and the partnership with the State government in public security.
At the meeting, held at the old Cine Angra, the coalition’s councilor candidates received legal information about the electoral period.
“We have to join forces so that the city continues on the right path. And bringing this team together here today is just the first step on this journey”, said Mayor Fernando Jordão. A public servant for 39 years, Ferreti is what the city calls a legitimate “fish with bananas” – someone born and raised in Angra. A civil engineer, he began his career at city hall in 1985.
During these years, he directly participated in the construction of at least ten thousand works in the city. “My greatest pride is having been part of social projects, as Government Secretary. The manager’s achievement is to help improve the lives of the population.”
Married to fellow engineer Elizabeth Brito, he is the father of three children and has five grandchildren. In different administrations in the municipal administration, Ferreti was also secretary and undersecretary of works, project director and works manager.
