Boulder government workers will host an open house event at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Crest View Elementary School, 1897 Sumac Ave., about improvements the city plans to make on Sumac Avenue between Broadway and 19th Street.
Community members can learn more about possible upgrades, including new pavement, improved sidewalks, storm drainage and traffic calming elements. Workers also could add a cyclist and pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Broadway and Sumac Avenue.
Community members also can access open house materials online via Be Heard Boulder, www.beheardboulder.org. Workers plan to gather community input this year before finalizing the design and funding for the project. Improvements are slated to start with repaving scheduled in summer 2025.
