A subject identified as Miguel ‘N’ and detained this week would be involved in several cases of femicidesaccording to the report this Friday from the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX).
The man was arrested on Tuesday after police officers went to a home in Iztacalco. So far it is known that the accused entered a neighbor’s apartment. There murdered María José, 17 years old; The young woman’s mother arrived at the scene and saw her attacker, who also attacked her. Police managed to capture him when he tried to leave.
María José died from the attack. Her mother is hospitalized.
After the events, the authorities searched Miguel ‘N”s home, where skeletal remains, notebooks where he allegedly wrote some of the possible crimes, official identification of women, cell phones, compact discs and a USB memory were found.
“The evidence located at the site by ministerial personnel, investigative police agents and experts assigned to the Investigation Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of Femicide of the General Coordination of Investigation of Gender Crimes clearly indicate the existence of a possible serial feminicidewho would be involved with the disappearance of several women reported to the Prosecutor’s Office for Investigation and Search of Persons,” Ulises Lara, spokesperson for the Prosecutor’s Office, reported tonight in a message to the media.
He noted that the corresponding authorities are already carrying out genetic studies to determine the identity of the human remains found at this subject’s home.

This Friday, Miguel ‘N’ was charged for his probable participation in the femicide of María José and a attempted feminicide against the victim’s mother.
The Prosecutor’s Office linked him to proceedings and gave him preventive detention. The man is now in the Reclusorio Oriente and he will remain there for six months while the complementary investigation is carried out.
Lara explained that the details about the possible victims will be protected in respect of the due process of the investigation and the families.
He also called for the investigation to be respected out of respect for the dignity of the victims.
