Petropolis – From Monday (29), Petrópolis City Hall will begin the “Vaccine for All” Campaign against Flu (influenza) for all people over six months of age. The measure aims to increase the population’s protection against the flu, especially as winter approaches, a period in which cases of flu-like respiratory syndromes tend to increase.
“To date, we have already vaccinated 27,659 people in the priority group. Now, we are opening vaccination to the entire population, reinforcing the importance of immunization against the flu”, highlights Mayor Rubens Bomtempo.
The doses will be available in the city’s 15 vaccination rooms, in addition to 26 PSFs and UBSs, while stocks of the vaccine sent by the Federal Government last. The campaign will continue until May 31st.
To facilitate access for municipal secretariat employees to immunization, a vaccination station will be set up next Monday (29) at the Health Department headquarters, from 9am to 3pm. “We want to guarantee the protection of all professionals in the sector and also employees who work in the other departments of the Frei Antônio Moser Administrative Center, at Hipershopping, in Alto da Serra. We will be available to vaccinate them in the first hours of the vaccination opening”, highlights the Secretary of Health, Ricardo Patuléa. On Tuesday (30), the station will be set up at the City Hall headquarters, on Avenida Koeler, also from 9am to 3pm.
To receive the protective dose, people must look for the vaccination room closest to their home. It is necessary to present the CPF and the vaccination card. For those who do not have a card, the Department of Health will issue one immediately.
“Vaccination against influenza is essential to reduce the impact of the disease on the health of the population. Therefore, it is necessary for everyone to get vaccinated and protect themselves”, adds Patuléa.
