Erie Elementary and Middle schools are on a secure status following a report of a suspicious man who is possibly armed with a handgun in the area.
According to a post on X, police are in the area of East County Line Road and Moffat Street due to the report which was made by a student once they arrived at school.
Erie police have issued a shelter-in-place order for nearby areas.
