Free online event on the job market in the Oil and Gas sector guides students | Jobs & Business

The NGO JA Rio de Janeiro promotes this Thursday, 25th, from 7pm to 8pm, live, the podcast “Desbravando oceans: how to work on ships and oil platforms”, aimed at including students from public schools in the market work in the Oil and Gas or Offshore sector. The initiative’s target audience is teenagers and young people in high school who want to learn about and acquire knowledge with the aim of building a successful professional career in this area.

The initiative has the support of the Brazilian Oil and Gas Institute (IBP), some of its associated companies and other partner brands, in addition to the Rio de Janeiro State Department of Education (Seeduc-RJ). The podcast – called PodTrilhar – marks the launch of the 2024 edition of the Trilha Empreendedora project, created in 2017, and will feature the participation of specialist Matheus Rangel, a former public school student who works in the sector and is also a digital influencer, with 12 years of experience in the offshore market.

The meeting will be broadcast via YouTube and will be available on the social organization’s channel. Matheus is a member of the IBP Youth Committee, a multidisciplinary group, formed by employees from companies associated with IBP, aged up to 35, to lead the energy transition, discuss technical issues and career development.

During the podcast, Matheus and the Trilha Empreendedora team will share tips and reflections to accelerate the careers of students, young people looking for their first job and people looking for a new job or area transition, as well as educators interested in helping students in the job market. The event will also feature information on how to write a good CV, job interviews, changes in the job market, how to enter and stay in an organization, skills to be developed, etc.
