The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection of Mexico City responded this Tuesday to an explosion in a house in the Tlalpan mayor’s office which left six people injured.
The events were reported on the morning of April 16, in a property located on Jesús Lecuona and Francisco I. Madero, in the neighborhood Miguel Hidalgo 3rd section, when neighbors registered a explosion due to gas accumulation.

According to the first reports, there are five people affectedof which two of them have been transferred by paramedics to the Ajusco Medio Hospital to receive the corresponding medical attention.
Neighbors report gas explosion near Conalep 2
Through social networks, neighbors announced that the explosion had occurred near the National College of Technical Vocational Education (Conalep) number 2, so the students were evicted from the classrooms; However, this information has not yet been confirmed by the relevant authorities.

For their part, elements of the Command, Control, Computing, Communications and Citizen Contact Center of Mexico City (C5) mobilized the emergency services to respond to the situation triggered by the explosion at the site.
Until now, paramedics and rescue teams were deployed to the site, as well as machinery from the Mayor’s Office to remove debris, so they asked citizens to avoid approaching the area.
They rescue injured ‘dogs’
After the explosion due to gas accumulation in a home on Jesús Lecuona Street in the Miguel Hidalgo Third Section neighborhood, Tlalpan mayor’s office, where six people were injured, personnel of the Animal Surveillance Brigade (BVA) of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) rescued and treated eight dogs that suffered various injuries.
The BVA wildlife and domestic fauna specialists went to the scene of the incident and found the inside of the affected property. a large size creole dog black and brown colors that were visibly scared and disoriented, when they went in to inspect the entire place, they found seven more ‘furries’ of various breeds and sizes who had various injuries.
Some were diagnosed by the zootechnical veterinary doctors with burns to the eyes and fur, possible fractures, internal damage and nervous breakdown, so the eight canines were protected and given first aid and were immediately transferred to their facilities, located to the south of the country’s capital, where they will receive proper comprehensive medical care.
The detonation caused collapses in the home and also caused damage to five other properties.
