Rio – The singer Alcione, great honoree of the Mangueira parade in the early hours of this Tuesday (13), in Marquês de Sapucaí, got on the fifth and final car, entitled “My Palace has a Queen”. Moved, the artist thanked the community members who passed by her for the affection while she waited to climb the float.

Before, Marrom stirred up sector 1 by saying: “It’s not just any samba”, in reference to the plot “A Negra Voz do Ajante”. Alcione also moved the audience by singing at the school’s “warm-up” before entering the Avenue.

Fourth to enter the Avenue on the second day of Grupo Especial parades, Estação Primeira de Mangueira, second biggest champion of Carnival, paid homage to one of the greatest icons of the group and the history of MPB. The honor takes place when Alcione completes 50 years of career.
