Luxury Sewickley Village condominium hits market

“For those looking to downsize, that doesn’t have to mean downgrade,” Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty associate broker and real estate advisor Kathe Barge said of a Centennial Avenue condo in Sewickley Village.

That’s apparent from the get-go — a governor’s drive winds in front of the red brick and cast stone building that houses 12 luxury condominiums by Pittsburgh-based Zamagias Properties, a real estate investment and development company.

One condo is for sale for $2,575,000. The second-floor, never-been-lived-in corner space has two bedrooms, two and one-half bathrooms and boasts nine-foot ceilings, white oak floors and custom-crafted wood moldings.

“Each unit is unique,” Barge said as she gave a tour on Wednesday. “Nothing compares to these condos in Sewickley. Four hundred Centennial Avenue stands alone above the landscape of condominium and maintenance-free living options in the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area.”

Barge said the place’s combination of quality of construction — it was built in 2022 — and building and residence amenities create a “welcoming feel.”

The spacious living room and dining room are part of an open floor plan in this condominium on Centennial Avenue in Sewickley.

It is located in close proximity to shopping, restaurants and entertainment in the quaint, upscale Sewickley neighborhood.

The newly-renovated Sewickley Valley YMCA is a block away, Heritage Valley Sewickley hospital is two blocks away, and The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center and Sewickley Public Library are all within walking distance.

“We don’t have anything else like this in Sewickley,” Barge said.

The condo encompasses 2,417 square feet and features an open floor plan with a spacious living room and a dining room leading to a set of French doors that open onto a covered patio with a double-sided gas fireplace.

Pittsburgh’s Kitchen and Bath Concepts designed the gourmet kitchen, which features a large island, custom cabinetry and countertops that are heat, stain and scratch-resistant.

Appliances include a 30-inch Sub-Zero cabinet front refrigerator and a separate 30-inch Sub-Zero cabinet front freezer, a Wolf 5-burner stainless steel gas cooktop and a Cove stainless steel dishwasher. A walk-in pantry has custom walnut cabinetry and multiple storage shelves.

Barge refers to the primary bedroom’s vast closet as “a dream closet.”

In the primary bathroom, electric radiant heat flooring, a Victoria + Albert soaking tub, steam shower and double vanity give the space a spa-like feel.

Living in this condo is a great way to stay in Sewickley but not have to care for one of the big homes in the area, Barge said.

“It is very, very, high-end,” Barge said. “This is really well done. It is a space where you can definitely feel at home.”

The second bedroom has plenty of closet space and a private full bathroom. There is also a partial bathroom.

The gated courtyard includes green space, a bocce court and fire pit.

The building’s amenities are many. The gated courtyard has a green space adorned with various trees. A bocce court and fire pit area are decorated with old-fashioned inspired street lamps, and gas lanterns adorn the exterior of the building.

Building maintenance and housekeeping staff are on-site five days each week.

There is a fitness room on the lower level with a sauna. Each residence has two indoor parking spaces and storage.

“It feels relaxing in here,” Barge said. “This location is so convenient.”
