Restaurante do Povo, closed since 2015 in the municipality, was reopened at the beginning of this month and serves around 400 breakfasts for R$0.50, 1,200 lunches and 300 dinners for R$1 to residents, being a success in the city.
Councilor Furlani highlighted the importance of the equipment for the population. “I want to highlight this public facility with a fantastic social character, which brings food dignity to the population. Eternal gratitude to Governor Cláudio Castro, we are very happy with the restaurant’s operation”, he highlighted.
The Undersecretary of Social Assistance, William Pereira, expressed satisfaction with the restaurant’s results. “We want to continue moving forward with a lot of work because it is very gratifying to see that hundreds of people are being reached every day and are no longer going hungry, with dignity and quality”, he highlighted.
Mayor Rodrigo Drable thanked Governor Cláudio Castro and praised the equipment’s services. “The restaurant is proving to be a wonderful facility, which gives people dignity in eating and I am very grateful to the governor for granting our request to reopen it,” said Drable.
