The Brazilian flag became a mosaic for Newcastle fans at St. James Park stadium, this Saturday (27), before the 5-1 defeat of Sheffield United, in the Premier League. The English tribute went to Brazilians Bruno Guimarães, who scored one of the goals, and Joelinton.
And it wasn’t just the mosaic. Newcastle fans even extended a banner in Portuguese and with five stars who represent the fifth team of the Brazilian team in the World Cup.
“From Aliança (PE) and Rio to Newcastle Upon Tyne, a home away from home. Joelinton and Bruno, our Brazilian Geordies,” the message said.
You two players are idols of the English team. Joelinton has been at the club since the 2019/20 season, while Bruno Guimarães arrived in 2021/22.
