Aedes aegypti mosquito is the transmitter of dengue, zika and chikungunya

According to a bulletin released this Wednesday (24) by the Nova Friburgo Health Department, three more deaths from dengue were confirmed in the municipality, totaling five deaths since January. The victims are two men and a woman. Two of these victims are between 70 and 79 years old and the other is over 80 years old. Another three deaths remain under investigation by the Death Investigation Committee of the State Department of Health (SES/RJ).
The municipality has, to date, 1,284 confirmed cases of the disease. There are 73 more cases from last week’s bulletin to this week’s.
The data may change, as investigations into the deaths are ongoing, said City Hall.
