Rio – Palmeiras identified, through security cameras and a facial biometrics system, the fan who hit Flamengo’s coach, Tite, with spit during halftime of the match between the two clubs, last Sunday, at Allianz Parque. Alviverde will file a report on the case and hand over the images to the Police. The information is from the “GE” portal.

Last Monday, Palmeiras, through its football director at Palmeiras, Anderson Barros, contacted Flamengo, represented by Bruno Spindel, this Monday to apologize for what happened.

The situation was exposed by Tite, in a press conference, after the goalless draw. “Let me make an observation. My activity as a coach, I know it is quite exposed, and I have to put up with all the possible offenses that come from outside. And it’s not from the Palmeiras fans. They are from some people who maybe don’t have the condition to know that there are a lot of kids that can be educated. The insults are part of the game, but spitting is really ugly, man. Having to clean my head and my clothes is ugly, man”, he said.

On the field, the two teams played a game with few emotions in São Paulo. The result placed Rubro-Negro with 7 points in the table, while Verdão has 4.
