Police arrest the person responsible for a company that provides internet for community smokers in Niterói | Rio de Janeiro

The man was the target of an arrest warrant issued by the 1st Criminal Court of Niterói. The order was carried out by agents from the Child and Adolescent Protection Police Station (DPCA), based on an investigation by the 77th DP (Icaraí).

Before this action, the internet and clandestine TV signal supply company had already been targeted by the police in March 2021.

In the case in question, the company operated in the Ilha da Conceição neighborhood, in Niterói, where it operated at the service of a criminal association between drug traffickers and militiamen.

Civil police officers from the Niterói Child and Adolescent Protection Police Station (DPCA) arrested, this Monday (06/05), a businessman suspected of being associated with one of the largest criminal organizations in the state of Rio de Janeiro. He was found in the Pendotiba neighborhood, in Niterói, Metropolitan Region of Rio.

According to information, in addition to drug trafficking, the group was involved in the irregular distribution of cable TV and internet signal in the Cavalão Community, in the South Zone of the city.

Against the man, the police served an arrest warrant, resulting from an investigation carried out by the 77th DP (Icaraí). According to the agents, the company under investigation was already the target of another operation in March 2021, carried out by the 76th DP (Center) and which dismantled an association of drug traffickers and militiamen that operated on Conceição Island.
