Racing Victoria chief executive officer Andrew Jones has resigned.
Jones made the decision to stand down ahead of Gillon McLachlan’s expected announcement as the new Racing Victoria Board’s chairman in coming weeks.

In an email to RV staff on Friday, and seen by this masthead, Jones wrote to say that he “wanted to let you know before it becomes public this morning that I have resigned as RV CEO”.
“It is important the new chair and board get to pick their own CEO, so it’s the right time to move on,” Jones wrote.
