Still haven’t made your annual declaration? SAT extends office hours – El Financiero

Have you not presented your annual declaration corresponding to the fiscal year 2023? Hurry up, because Service tax administration (SAT) announced that will extend its office hours to help taxpayers carry out the process.

The agency reminded that the deadline for you to comply with this tax obligation -and avoid fines or sanctions— is next Tuesday, April 30.

What are the extended hours of the SAT offices?

If you do not know how to file your 2023 annual return, the SAT offers attention and advice to taxpayers in its offices during hours ranging from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m..

The extension of hours in the SAT offices will apply only from April 17 to 30, 2024. Remember to have your RFC, Password and the e.signature.

Annual declaration 2023: Who must submit it?

The SAT indicates that the 2023 annual declaration must be submitted by Physical persons who obtained their income from the following items:

Wages and salaries

  • From a single employer and they stopped working before December 31.
  • If they got income other than wages.
  • If they worked for two or more employers simultaneously.
  • If the salaries come from abroad or from people not obliged to withhold.
  • If they obtained compensation income.
  • If retirement or pension income exceeds the amount provided for in article 93 section IV and V of the Income Tax Law.
  • If the total annual income for this concept exceeds 400 thousand pesos.

Professional services

  • Business activities
  • Technological platforms
  • border region
  • Fiscal Incorporation Regime (RIF) with profit coefficient.
  • Leasing of real estate.
  • Disposal or acquisition of assets.
  • Interest or dividends.
  • Simplified Trust Regime (RESICO).

What happens if you do not submit the annual tax return to the SAT?

If you decide not to submit the annual return to the SAT, you could be eligible for a series of fineswhich They could be increased if they are not paid in a timely manner.. Additionally, your credit historybecause you acquire a tax debt.
