This is what we know about the booth fee for the Mexican Foreign Circuit – El Financiero

A new problem arose this month for those who want to reach the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) in Santa Lucía, State of Mexico, since now it will be necessary to consider paying for a booth of the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense (CEM) that was previously free.

This is the toll booth located as T5- Tultitlán, which is part of the Santa Inés road distributor, which since April 30 began to have a cost, and which leads directly from CEM to AIFA.

The Aleatica company, through the Ci social networksMexican Foreign Circuit, announced the beginning of the collection stage for said booth. The news was not well received by users, who in the same publication demanded that payment be made, because, they argue, it is a chaotic traffic area, for which it is not worth paying.

The route consists of 10.3 kilometers and costs range from 46 to 525 pesos: Of these, for motorcycles it is 46 pesos, private cars at 92 pesos; Buses must cost 211 pesos, while trucks with 2 to 4 axles will be 211 pesos, and those with more than 7 axles will be 525 pesos.

Aleástica, the company in charge of the CEM, issued a statement explaining the reasons why toll collection began at that point.

“Since the inauguration of the CEM – AIFA Link, more than two years ago, the road has been made available to users with light and heavy-duty vehicles without any payment. After this free period, it is necessary to charge for the use of the infrastructure to help with its proper maintenance and avoid damage to this recently inaugurated key junction for the development of the State of Mexico.

“The payment of fees by all users contributes to maintaining the infrastructure under the highest standards of quality and safety. In addition, the toll fee protects those who circulate on this road and prioritizes the safety and efficiency of the transportation of our users.”
