As in recent days, this Monday remains marked by temperatures well below average of the season. According to Meteo Francethe day should also be sunny in most regions, but also marked by a strengthening wind.
In the morning, frosts are present at sunrise on an axis going from the Dordogne to the Ardennes as well as throughout eastern France. Blue skies are settling across the entire territory. Only the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions are partly covered by clouds. A few scattered clouds may also be present in the Alpes-Maritimes and in the northern part of the country, along the borders and coasts.
In the afternoon, the sun remains dominant, but the clouds are clearly gaining ground. Despite everything, they give way to large clearings in a large northern half, except in Normandy, where showers occur. In the Alps and the South-East, rain is also present and snow falls on the hills. Near the sea, storms form. Maximum temperatures range from 8°C to 14°C in the North, seasonal in Brittany, 5°C to 6°C below average in other regions. In the South, they range from 7°C to 16°C; they are almost seasonal around the Gulf of Lion, between 5°C and 7°C lower than averages elsewhere.
Furthermore, the wind is strengthening throughout the country with gusts between 40 km/h and 60 km/h in the North and 50 km/h to 80 km/h in the South. It is in the Rhône valley as well as in Roussillon that they are strongest.
In the evening, showers reach Île-de-France. A few drops and flakes continue to fall in the South-East and the Alps. Elsewhere, showers are not expected to occur. The situation remains the same overnight with increasingly rare precipitation in the regions concerned.
In Île-de-France, the sky is blue in the morning before getting more and more cloudy as the day goes on. Precipitation is expected to reach the capital region in the evening. The wind blows up to 50 km/h in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will range from 10°C to 12°C, around 5°C below average.
